Hmm or maybe its 8 and a 1/4 times across th eblade.

LOL

[censored] angle.
But I guess we gotta bow down to the 1311 name .....

311....3in
511...5in
711...7in
911...9in
1311...13in

I own none of the above --Yet--

But are all of those knives a little bigger bladed than stated and the servicable edge is the number specified? IE is the blade on the 711 actually 73/4 to 8 ish from handle to tip making it 7 inches of edge minus whatever the choil is..or are they exactly 7 inches from handle to tip?

The 11 series that I have are as follows.
311: 3.5" x .187"t 8" O.A.L.
511: 5.5" x .195"t 10" O.A.L.
711: 7.5" x .250"t 13" O.A.L.
911: 9.5" x .260"t 14.5" O.A.L.

So maybe the 1311 will be 13.5" blade, 18.5 O.A.L.
I'm thinking it will have to be .250" thick in order to fit the handles in stock.

Cmon' now guys, is it just me that this one is obvious to?

It will have a 13 and 11/10" blade, actually making it a 14.10" blade with a 13" cutting length...... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

Am I the only one who knows numerology?

Here's a measured coin for you. Not that it helps to determine specs of the 1311, but because you asked.

Mine is just shy of 2".

why not base if off the bullet vs the coin. the bullet runs parallel to the blade anyhow so it shouldn't be to hard, maybe a 308?

JYD# 165 I love hard use knives. in all steels, sizes, and shapes.

We know from the title of the picture that it's around 13", so that was close enough for me.

But, here goes my problem solving skills at work.......

The cartridge which is pictured next to the spine is a .308.

The overall length of the .308 cartridge is 2.8".

You can fit roughly 4 and 2/3 of the pictured catridges laid end to end from handle to tip.

Go ahead and double check that measurement guys....

4.66 * 2.8 = 13.048 <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

In conclusion, my estimates are that the blade is just over 13". This jives with the title of the picture Dan posted which had 1311 in it. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" />

So....... 13" it most certainly is!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/shocked.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
