In the evening we eat a good dinner and saw a movie. Don't remember which one. It wasn't that brilliant.
Then we went to bed, looking forward for our flight to Chiang Mai the next day.

Day 4
Chiang Mai.
We arrived in Chiang Mai on 4th of July, and immediately liked it!
For those who don't know Chiang Mai it is the second largest city in Thailand, located in north Thailand. Eventhough it is the second largest city, it only inhabtis 170.000 citicents.

As I said Chaing Mai is amazing IMO.
Much more open and friendly than Bangkok.
The first day we got orientated and ended up booking some trips.

In the evening we eate some nice thai food, and went for a Thai massage.

It was an extremely painfull experience!
That little lady twisted, mashed, bend and molested me in the worst possible way. Leaving me a broken man... Well, afterwards it felt ok.

On the way we stocked up on some supplies, before arriving at en elephant camp.
Here we were to do ride some elephants for an hour before the trekking.

It was pouring with rain when we arrived a the base of the mountain we were to hike up that day.
I didn't really matter, because it just added to that rainforrest experience.

The trail we narrow and slippery, but our guide just set a good pace, and after an hour or so, we arrived at small cabin for some lunch: Rice with egg and chicken.
See the Thai people are not very big, nor are their portions... So I didn't really get full.

While eating lunch Sara felt a leaf land on her head.
I actually turned out to be a BIG praying mantess, shaped like a leaf. My guess is, it was some 5" long. Really a beautifull creature.

Shortly after, we went on.
Now the trail was really steep, and the rain had stopped.
The heat began to rise rapidly along with the humidity.
This took its toll on one of the more heavy set girls.

She became dissy and wanted to give up. But there was nowhere for her to go but onwards. So with some encuragement and help we got her going again.
Soon after we broke the clouds and came into the sun.
