Having never been to Kiev, I was really surprised by that city.

I had expected blocks upon blocks of concrete buildings, but it is an amazingly beautiful city, and we only saw a fraction of it.

It truly is a city worth visiting.
After spending the afternoon in Kiev, we went for the airport again to catch our plane home.

There was a slight delay of a few hours, but that was not a big deal.
We landed home in Copenhagen at 1.00 am on the 25th of july, ending an alltogether perfect trip!

Final impressions:
Thailand is a place we will come back to.
Especially northern Thailand. Chiang Mai was amazing. The nature and scenery around Chiang Mai makes it a perfect destination if you want to experience something authentic. It is not all about tourism.
And many of the tourists there are VERY aware of the environment. Not wanting to leave footprints.
We had a feeling that the people there really wanted to keep it real, and not succumb to mass tourism.

The south of Thailand was also very nice, however, tourism had left a much greater imprint there. But we will also return to the south of Thailand again some day.
The south is perfect to sheer relaxation.

Sounds like a great trip. Always heard the north was nicer than the south in Thailand. Kiev would be a great rip in itself.

It was a great trip! You just do not run out of things to do up north. And down south it is all set up for relaxation.

Sawadee Krup.

I have been to Chiang Mai many times. I can even read, write, and speak in Thai.

Chok dee na Krup!

Impressive!
I didn't pickup much Thai.
The alphabet it self is impossible to make sense, for non Thai speaking.
