Sawadee Krup.

I have been to Chiang Mai many times. I can even read, write, and speak in Thai.

Chok dee na Krup!

That's pretty cool. I can figure out what you wrote. I learned conversational Thai from my mother, but never learned a single letter so I can't read or write anything. I'm pretty sure my phonetic spelling would be a disaster.

Let's try anyways...Khun kheiyn Thai keng mak

There are 44 consanents, 26 vowels, 5 tone sounds, 4 tone marks, high, mid, low classes, and many different rules that make it difficult to learn. Its a Tonal language. One word can mean 5 different things depending on how you say them.

Khun usually means Title; ex, sir. Gayng means good, Mahk means very.

Thanks for the compliment. Most american thais never learn how to write. They learn to speak from their parents.

Arent the Elephants fun. I have had the chance to ride a couple too. They can play soccer and paint too. They have cheap tours that can take you all over.

You feel like a king over there because you can afford everything.

Well, PE if go go there the learn how to heal, just heal yourself when you get beat up <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

But yes, the low prices does allow for you to just go wild, and do whatever you want to do.
