I have a custom bowie being made from another maker so i don't know if i need to spend 600 on two knives right now, but with the Moad being a forum only and etched jyd special i will most likely get one, i originally said no when i found out it was a moad but i know me and my extreme weakness for new steel. I also have a custom golok being made and it looks like it will ship around the same time. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" />

I feel that only folks that were forum members on or before today (8/24/12) should be eligible for this offer, but I guess that's just me. Found this disappointing post over in the sip and talk thread. One of the very new members made a polite and thoughtful response, but still, it's not like the new members are taking knives away from the longstanding folks. I think the new flood of pups coming in is just a little overwhelming to some of the older members. It has been a pretty small community up to now. I think it is merely growing pains. I think it is a good thing! More dogs to converse with and more business for Dan which means more knives and possibly even better prices. The the whole 12 hour jyd runs kinda irked me at first but then I thought I would want a 1311 with my number too and there was limited time to get there. As long ad the forum holds true to its roots and rules we all will get along just fine! As always! Long live the brotherhood and BRING ON THE MOAD!!! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" /> I joined back in the spring, so still feel "new", yet so many folks have joined recently, I also feel like we need to support and encourage them. Everyone has always been great to me and very supportive. Both of my pigs are desert grey with black and tan. I want to keep getting every blade I can in these colors. For a while I had a decent collection of busse kin knives in black and sage. I've unfortunately sold most of them since but I know how cool it is to have a matching set.
