I like to watch them. They are funny critters.

I was watching this Momma Grizz with 4 cubs and videographer asked me what I was looking at. These 5 ended up in a Nat Geo show.

Bad lighting and she was a long ways off. But cool to watch non the less.

You really ARE fortunate MB. Nature is such a beautiful thing, and all we have to do is look. Even here in the reclaimed Swamplands.

I think this is one of my Favorite grizz shots though. These two were funny to watch.

I always hung in the woods when I was in your part of the country as well. I am impressed with the comeback of bald eagles down there. I never saw one when I lived there. A couple nest in my nieces backyard now.

We see them quite often when we go to Mingo. One day we saw 14 or 16, I'm not sure which. 9 of them were all at the same time. It was when they were passing through though so I am sure several of them were transitory.

The pic with the 2 bears in the water was not very far away at all. It was taken with a Sony Mavica writting it directly to a disk. Like a whopping 3.5 megapixel. Not much of a zoom to speak of.

I think the most eagles I have ever seen in one area was about 50 on a sand bar in Alaska during a dog salmon run.
