Yes its black. I carried it in Iraq the spring broke at some point. I sent it to Benchmade they repaired it and returned it even put a new pocket clip on it.

Good to hear they treated you right. The army just lets you keep them or did you pay for it?

It all depends. Usually with pocket knives and multi tools you get to keep them. It also helps to be deployed. A lot of the equipment we were allowed to keep. Like the sleeping bags, normally they get reissued but the ones that went to Iraq we were told to keep. Then other stuff we had to pay for like my chemical suit that the commander told us to ditch. We all got billed for them.

Yeah, makes you wonder why they didn't want the gear that went to Iraq, and I'm sure it was a good idea to pitch the chem suit don't they accumulate particles? Or is there a way to clean them? Sucks you got billed for stuff you chucked tho, no doubt

I think its a LMG. 7.62 you can carry it but we just used it on the truck. For foot patrols I had a M16 with 203. I wouldnt have wanted to lug that thing around.

Yeah I hear ya it's like 20lbs I think...probably unloaded
