well figured with my good luck streak going I should take a look at the starter in my car. 3 weka ago I was sitting there thinking how I never had any real problems with this car and how it always started without any problem. a week later a head light was out and the starter was freezing. just snatched it out (thanks internet since I didn't even know where the starter was) and I'm hoping I can clean it up somehow without paying $120 for a new one.

also looking at this one and it's from napa. wonder if they has a lifetime warranty. would be pretty sweet to be saved by a warranty again...

Starters go out rarely on some cars and often on others I would check the interwebs to find out what yours is like.

cracked it open and it's black inside. i would just drop the money to get a new one but this is looking like some easy "man up" points. I'm going to take a shot a cleaning it up some.

There are places that can rebuild them also but unless its a heavy piece of equipment its rarely worth it.

it looks like this starters motor still has a whole lot of life in it.pretty sure I it wasn't for all the fine build us and fine powder it would be okay. I'm going to sit here and polish it for and hour or so and hopefully get it back in before the sun goes down. hopefully this will be a done deal.
