We all know the bowie is just round the corner and the INFI mudder will be out in the new year . We all have our dream knives, so lets tell Dan and Patti about them! Who knows maybe we can beg and grovel some of them into production...

To kick off; I'd like a Scrapper 9 in INFI. The perfect blade size and shape for camp chores, chopping, whittling etc etc. In INFI over sr77 as the corrosion resistance is higher for lower maintainance..

Scrap Yard version AK47! A more affordable version for those with smaller knife budgets. That'd feel nice and grippy with Res-C handles.

+1 with Mr Wayne on the AK-47. I hadn't thought about it until you brought it up, and after thinking about it for a little bit, that would be nice. (I am assuming you ment the AK-47 line from BOKER Knives?)

My personal wish would be a nice dive knife. It is so hard to find a dive knife that isn't a compromise with stupidity- blunt ends so you don't scare off the other divers with your big, bad dive tool. I used a Navy MkIII Mod O for the longest time, until I loaned it to a friend and never got it back. I could hook fish with the pointy recurved end; right up and under the scales, and flopping around on the hilt of the knife. I use a Cold Steel UWK knife at the moment, and my wife has my Boker ORCA. The ORCA is a nice knife, with a sharp edge, but relatively blunt, fat tip. No fish with that thing, you just push them away.

Andy's idea of the AK47 sounds good. I would also like for them to make a Scrap Yard copy of the Battle Rat (Battle Dog?)!

No, actually I meant the Busse AK-47 Sword. Wouldn’t that look nice in SR-77 with Res-C handles?

Oh, and just so you know, Wayne is my middle name, so, really it shouldn’t be Mr. Wayne. My last name is Naylor. Don’t worry, you’re not the first that thought it was my last name.

The sword would be very cool but more sabre shaped like a Katana or parang! Rich the Scrapper 9 should float your BR boat (I can't wait for that one!). [censored] shame Eric dropped the BR- probably the worlds best knife till the INFI S9 arrives.

Hi guys, x here, from the Philippines..been reading through this forum for quite some time now. I got my scrapper about a week ago and am looking forward to that bowie as well.

Anyway, what I'd like to see among many other things (hope you don't find this as stupid) is a longer handle with the scrapper 9, for more balance, reach, etc. 1/2 to 1 inch extention perhaps.

Thanks guys! The knife is indeed awesome! I'd buy more if it wasn't that expensive (and sometimes risky) to ship here. And it's the same reason why I have to baby this thing a little bit..just a little bit

X- abuse your new black toy, they thrive on it! Y not...

I can sort of see your point about a longer handle on the Scrapper 9 helping the balance during fine work or allowing you to alter the balance to pile on the power during chopping.. But that current handle design would really take a lot of effort to improve, it's the knife's best point IMHO.

I was comparing the S6 and SWBR having different blade lengths but same length handles, the S6 has that better feel in the hand. Got curious, what if the bowie 9 had similar proportion as the S6.

I agree with you, though, these handles are ergonomic! They were well thought of, in every aspect

I'll be abusing this thing soon enough, don't worry

Res C with a big INFI blade is dog heaven... An INFI Scrapper 9 would be awesome and just 1/2" shorter than the FBM. Just don't mess with the (perfect) SY handle design!

Gravel -- You mean like an Uncle Mojo? I'm dying for a Mojo in SR-77, and they could make an Uncle variant for people who don't open their beer bottles with an edged weapon (I love the catch, personally, but i know some people don't like it or just don't see the point of having it -- I, being an Irishman, do see the point).

what up x? Actually i like the idea, at least a choil or maybe even a sub-hilt would be handy to say the least on a big knife like that...

We need a 5/16" (or thicker) SR-77 BOWIE!!! (Written back in early '07 -- Regulator Premonition?)

If they made the bowie out of INFI... then i wouldn't buy it. I can get big knives in INFI already. What i want is a big knife in SR-77.

We need a 5/16" (or thicker) SR-77 BOWIE!!! (Written back in early '07 -- Regulator Premonition?)

Trumby- love the Stan avatar, he is a handsome mutt! If the yard ever needs a mascott Patti should ask to borrow Stan..

I can't. It's too expensive for me. I'd like to have the chance to get some that I could afford.

I don’t think so. I’ve never seen anything else.

TKC you hit the nail right on the head... The worlds best knives would have INFI AND RES-C, period! SR77 is tough as hell but will rust more than INFI.

I would be happy with a big Bowie made out of SR77 OR Infi, complete with a Resiprene-C handle!!!

I would be happy with either one. I would be just a tad happier with Scrap Yard's steel just because I don't have a big chopper in S7 and I've got plenty of battle Mistresses to bang around. Respirene C is a must

I knew someone was going to say inficoot. Didn't you just get one 360joules? Someone snagged it (at a killer price) during that thanksgiving Rat melay on bladeforums for sale forum. That was you wasn't it, you dog? Those are hard to come by usually. I thought I read somewhere that when Eric first took orders for them that there were only 200 made (and by mistake, right?). In reality, it's proprietary steel, and Jerry's never going to let even his brother use it (on purpose). I think this would be a true test at how proficient a dumpster diver our friend Dan here really is. Snag some INFI, then I'll be impressed. Kidding. I would be first in line though.

I'm already totally impressed. I would like to see some big blades from Scrapyard, and am anxious to see what other designs are adopted. It would be interesting if the Scrapyard would turn to innovating some original designs and not just carbon-copy Busse Combat like the Rats have done already. Sincerely, no offense, but not one Rat seems to be an original innovation. They're all Busse's in Rat clothing. I'm personally a big fan of all of them. But now they've been done, is all I'm saying. What about some innovation. There are many ways an axe design could go; yet the new Rat axe is a design from a prototype Jerry never put into production. Folders are a relatively untouched area in this family's lines (except for that one). What about a WSK (I know, we went there earlier this week). And, I've always believed serrated edges give any design an added bonus. You know what I'd really like Dan to make? A 4.5inch Tanto style with Res-c, crinkle coat and sharpened upper edges. BRING IT!

The next knife after the Bowie is going to be Infi...so I hope you are impressed! Personally I think the WSK is an abomination to blades and belongs in the catagory of "fantasy" knives.

Ian - Great to hear from you again! I still love that picture of Stan.
The Infi Scrap Yard Mudder will be a very welcome addition, right after the Bowie. I hope all is going well for you "down under" - let us hear from you more often!!! Tom

Hello Tom,

Young Stan is doing fine and all is well down under. I agree with you, the mudder in INFI would be a wonderful addition to his collection.

Cheers,
Ian. :P

Is there any reason to believe that a blade will someday be made with INFI from Scrapyard? Just curious if it's wishful thinking, urban legend, or a valid rumor. I'll be the first to jump, personally; but it seems so unlikely, yet keeps coming up. Why is that?

I was tempted by those $200 ones on BF recently, but I knew the EDC is coming soon so I passed.
