A pub crawl sounds like a good way to go out. If the apocalypse doesn't happen they might wish it did when the hangover kicks in.

I made the mistake of going to the grocery store. My god it was a shopping cart apocalypse.
If it wasn't a tradition for me to make pecan pies and deliver them on Turkey day I would have turned around and hit the hammer until I was back home. Instead I braved the brain dead horde for last minute stuff.
