Yeah I'm sure there are a few dogs around here that would give him what he has in it

so all your shotgun talk got me thinking. was going to try to trade/sell my 500 but think I'm going to set it up to see if it'll do the job for hog hunting.

Mesa does pretty well. While I like the 870 best. The Mossy 500 is a solid shotgun. You can set them up just about any way you like.

wanted to do the mesa ar style adapter but was more than I wanted to spend on this shotgun. instead think i will do green hogue stock and forend. already bought a rail so maybe a red dot at some point.

i would like to find a fn tps at some point. looks like it would make for a good hog gun.

My family runs 870 shot guns and I like how the Remington safety works with my Knox spec ops nrs
Mossy I would have problems with the safety and that stock.

While I like the 870 I like the AMBI safty on the Mossberg but with a pistol grip the 870 wins out.

I wish they made pistol grip stock for my 930.

I agree Remington's options on good tactical guns from the factory suck

They used to rock. Not so much now. But people want weird stuff like pain compliance standoff breacher muzzles. LOL, a very specialized piece of equipment. Not much reason to use them even in my world.

pistol grip and 500 safety is another the other reason i'm going with hogue furniture on the one.

for whatever reasons i picked mossberg over remington. if I had known a little more I think I wouldve gotten a 590 with rifle sights first though.

I have an old mossy 500 that I have had for more than 20 years
The only thing I don't like is that the 18 1/2 inch barrel is smooth and it has a front bead
The 28 inch barrel has choke tunes and makes a fine waterfowl gun
My brother just bought his oldest a mossy 590 ai,can't wait to play with it
