AUS isn't to bad in CRKT m16 and m21 folders. I think

How do Emerson knives have such a good rap if they use AUS 8?

They use 154.

I had a tip of CRKT Hissatsu (? not sure if that's the correct spelling of it) bend after light tap on mild steel pipe.
And a Kabar folder in aus-8 that had surface rust quicker than the edge of 711 got patina on it, both were cutting live vegetation...

Emerson is all 154cm to my knowledge. I have a protec Emerson collaboration auto <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" /> its a CQC 7 with red aluminum handle! 154cm blade with the wave ground off cuz it's an auto...

when it comes to blades i think there's enouh busse kin, kershaw, and spyderco to keep me broke. other than a others couple like a muk and some customs I don't really dont even see other fixed blades anymore.

Strange along time ago I looked at the
Emerson web site and saw a blade that said AUS 8

They sure are bad ars blades

Bark river, blind horse knives and falkniven make good knives, everything else in the realm of fixed blades that isn't busse kin or custom, isn't worth much attention

I'll never buy another non kin fixed blade. Folders are a problem though

I saw bark river when I was first looking at getting a quality knife. I looked at all the big production knives and had settled on a rtak2 from okc but then people were saying get the original and I found ESEE. Then I saw a chop off between a jungles vs df and looked up SYKCO. And saw amazing things so I said with. Warranty like that I can't go wrong and I took the plunge. I wanted a DF
But couldn't find one so I saw the 911 announced at blade and said bingo. Then I found that SYKCO was part of a larger group of knives

bark river's look pretty good. they make a recurve that had me drooling. perfect size and everything but for the price I would look at ban tang. plus I traded some work for a similar custom knife in s30v. hoping the guys will contact me soon.
