one day at the old job we got to talking with a police chief about auto folders and showing ours off. his opinion about it was that you are fine as long as you are doing anything stupid when you are wearing it. of course that's totally up to the cop that's on the scene.

don't know any specifics but some these guys have been around since early 80's maybe longer. they get way serious about certain knives. lots of feeling get hurt over balisongs. drama I could never buy into...

Assisted opening or true autos? me? autos... I have a syderco citadel that opens like an auto sledge hammer. another guy had a microtech otf and we ended up taking about them at work when the police chief walks up.

There are always stories about everything... Remember there was a guy who said that SAR 8 will not chop... I'd say as long as you stick with the blue and black lines (US made) you shouldn't have any problems.
