Guess I'm lucky I can't get guns just like you guys can! I'd be broke and on the street! She'd kick me out for spending all the money on knives and guns...<img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/crazy.gif" alt="" /> Now it's just knives <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif" alt="" /> the first guy I showed my fsn was really having a hard time because of the same thing. he wanted it but he knew that he was in trouble just for thinking about it.

BTW, it looks like you ended up with an awesome result following his directioins!! No surprise there obviously, Ban is the MAN!
Just curious, what knife is that you have pictured? It looks like a stripped Rodent 4 to my eyes.....

Just curious, what knife is that you have pictured? It looks like a stripped Rodent 4 to my eyes..... It's a stripped R4 that was stone tumbles and orange liners added. You can find his directions on BF in the knifemakers forums, or in is FAQ in his website. I used a harbor freight 1x30 belts sander and is too about 20 to 30 minutes to get that result. I have some of ban's knives and this one is just as sharp.

I have always been interested in the belt sander methods but I have not tried it because I'm thinking I could mess it up.
