It is simple and functional design. Very light and nimble in hand.
Quite a few people have said it is the best skinner they ever used.
D2 holds good edge too.

Darn I was looking at that belt sander the other day thinking convex but passed now I wish I hadnt, nice jobe and I love the look of that blade striped.

the belt sander seems to be the end all of ways to sharpen a knife. i keep hoping to run across a good deal on a bench grinder myself. i think i'd rather use the paper wheels that got mentioned on here a while back.

I know that every knife maker I have seen on youtube or in person uses one to sharpen there blades, they do usualy strop them after also.
