Yeah, give them a shout and they WILL fix you up. Quite possible a fault in the steel, nothing anyone could do about that.

Mine is tough as nails.. HAS to be a steel defect or the like. I have done flex tests n stuff with mine as well as extensive chopping and batoning of hardwood and its no worse for the ware....

Ouch! Must have sucked looking down at that bad a** blade after that happened! SR101 doesn't do that with pine, frozen pine or a knot...that steel had a bit of an issue!
