Yeah, give them a shout and they WILL fix you up. Quite possible a fault in the steel, nothing anyone could do about that.

Mine is tough as nails.. HAS to be a steel defect or the like. I have done flex tests n stuff with mine as well as extensive chopping and batoning of hardwood and its no worse for the ware....

![[Linked Image from i632.photobucket.com]](http://i632.photobucket.com/albums/uu46/stjoefd2003/IMG_2035_zps22deafbf.jpg) Was chopping this 1x6 pine board from a kids bed that was broken. I was burning it. It had been inside the garage so it wasnt frozen but I did hit a knot. Guess that was a tough knot lol Ouch! Must have sucked looking down at that bad a** blade after that happened! SR101 doesn't do that with pine, frozen pine or a knot...that steel had a bit of an issue! I agree with other folks, Dan will want to check it out and of course replace it! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Didn't mean to include you in that statement. I heard it on the radio one day and it just seemed to make sense.
