Grandpa showed me how to shoot, and respect the power of a gun early. When I was 10, or maybe 11 he let me go hunting with it by myself. I couldn't even [censored] the hammer without using both thumbs!

I think of your bobcat story whenever ive been out hunting. we are supposed to have some around our property. along with coyotes and foxes... never seen one but im looking forward to it.

you guys are lucky to have been able to spend so mch one outdoors. was never a topic growing up. my dad has never been much for anything that required patience. the rest of my family just never talked about hunting or fishing. outside of a few small ponds on some family land my fishing opportunities where never really there. and when i started wanting to hunt i was always bogged down with working. now that im having a chance I will just try to enjoy it as much as I can. pretty much a priority for me now.
