i have a mossberf 500. right now it's waiting for some green hogue furniture. had the knoxx recoil recoil reducing pistol grip. didn't like the pg and I'm more likely to grab a handgun for sd. now im thinking of ways to set the 500 for hunting.

Lazi I am thinking for a shtf looter protection type weapon, I would also like a break open 12 gauge for survival hunting.

Greaser, a single shot, or double would be good. It would promote better discipline, meaning you will try and be more accurate with your shots. I guess sort of the one shot hits Vs spray and pray debate.

my 500 is the 20" with 7 in the tube and a heat shield for looks. just grabbed it because I didn't have a shotgun at the time. if i had it to do again i'd probably get a 580 with rifle sights.

I have a Remington 887 Nitro Mag Tactical. Probably evil enough looking to be on the list.

just left academy here. saw they had some ammo in so I pick up some. they had it behind the service counter and were rationing it out. could only buy one box of each caliber and only 3 boxes total. 9mm sold out earlier in the day. this panic ammo buying really screws stuff up. be goad when it's done..

I know people are buying because of what might happen, but wouldn't the manufacturers crank up production to sell like crazy while they still can? That would make more sense.
