Colorado isn't lost just yet. it still has to make it through the Senate. If it passes there they will be voted out of office and a New amendment tot he Consitution will be put up for a vote.

It worked twice for pot it can work for our rights.

Senator Smith from Ohio introduced SB18 on 2/12/13. This bill specifically targets and defines "assault weapons" but even more outrageously it will create a "database" for all ammunition and weapons purchases. They are defining an assault weapon as "a semi-automatic firearm capable of accepting a detachable magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges, and a semi-automatic firearm with a fixed magazine with the capacity to accept ten or more cartridges."

Would that pertain to handguns as well?

Its insanity. It doesn't specify pistol or rifle so yes I take it to mean everything.
