no i'm pretty new to it all. i started fishing last summer and over this winter was my first time doing any real hunting.
i spent most of the last 15 years working at one thing or another behind a desk. i usually worked some pretty awkward hours... I didnt spend much time outdoors much less the woods.

When I was inthe army I spent time in the woods but it was long time ago. Now I´m trying to go back to nature so that I can teach my children to appreciate nature. Start easy, don´t go to the extremes right away.

right now I just head towards the blue and green blobs on the map. i know i will figure it out when I get there. like the last place i went I saw a sign showing a bear crossing the road. next time I will leave my suit made of honey and berries at home.
i do try to keep in my mind that when dealing with the wilderness you can step into the extreme at any time. going to hate when it warms up and I start seeing snakes... water moccasins are supposed to be pretty nasty. have yet to see one but I seem to like the swamps.

I spend a lot of time out of doors but it never seems to be enough.

never enough time... every time I leave some place I think i probably should've stayed another hour or so. I guess that means camping will happen at some point.

Camping can be the best or worst experience, it depends on how prepared you are.

Another reason I love northern alberta, no pesky snakes! Mosquitos are as big as blue jays though...
