I never made it to Taiwan but I spent some time in Seoul and ah heck the town just outside of Osan Air Base in S. Korea. Oh and I spend several weeks (just one week at a time) at the Army's Camp Casey up closer to the DMZ. TRYING to teach Army Pilots how to fill out Recon reports for the PARPRO program.

That is back when we had the PARPRO program. Now, well at least a few years ago it was called PRCSO, Peacetime Reconnaissance and Certain Sensitive Operations. Just before I left Japan it changed to the latter program name. I remember when I was overseas, the Philippines was noted for woodwork, South Korea for clothing, brassworks and Eelskin products. I bought my mom an eel skin purse for $15.00 and when she got it she was offered $100.00 for it right off her shoulder! She didn't sell it.

Yeah....things have changed somewhat. Although China (and to a lesser extent Taiwan) is still a GREAT place for pearls <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/laugh.gif" alt="" />
