It seems that the government, at all levels, wants to intrude more and more into my life. I'm old enough to remember when people minded their own business.

While reading a story about how the gun debate is shaping elections in blue states I came up with an interesting correlation.
Who has seen The Matrix?
If you take the red pill you wake up to what is real. If you take the blue pill you go back to sleep oblivious to reality.
Now the whole blue state / red state makes sense.

I noticed that every time I visit my VA doctor I am asked a bunch of questions about stress, nightmares, anger, etc. It ticks me off. I was already feeling bad. Why provoke me? I'll need anger management if I have to deal with one more idiotic bureaucrat. Last time I just cut them off and said "I do not have PTSD and you're not taking my firearms". I probably should leave the PF-9 out in the Jeep. They'd have a cow if they knew I was packing. I already deleted my old sig line of "Horned, Dangerous, and off my medication". Originally over on the old Randall forum it was "Armed, dangerous...." I wouldn't want some over zealous VA, DHS, or educator to read it and send a SWAT team to my house. Stuck at work, don't know if I'll be able to go home, half the highways are shutdown due to stupid drivers. Guess I'll get a hotel room next door.

We got freezing rain, then sleet, then snow....repeat, starting about 10 am and just started slowing a bit.
