I just put a decent sized nick in my DM blade.....I don't really understand, I was chopping a small tree sappling. Thank God it's my workhorse knife. Roll or chip? Looked almost like I hit a steel rod.....Metal sort of oozed out both sides of the blade. Honestly, I had two swings at a little sappling. People saw me do it.

strange. was there anything in the tree that you could see? The sappling was only 1/2" thick.....I just must have bad luck.
