I'm trying to talk her into using my 30/30, or her dad offered her a little Ruger .44 Mag semi-auto carbine. But she wants HER gun.

You should get some HEAVY '06 loads and make here shoot a couple magazine loads through it and see if she still wants one. I THINK you can go (or at least used to) get 220 grain loads.

She's shot 150 grain rounds out of my -06 and hit what she was aiming at. Didn't complain about the recoil either.

Nope! Dad won the 30/30 on a punch board, refinished all the wood himself and gave it to me years ago. That gun ain't going nowhere.
