Why would they want you to register your magazines. I mean after all when you shoot them they're gone. Least that is what the Nutjob lady from Colorado said.

Say I'm thinking about a bolt gun. Perhaps a Remington 700. What scope should I go for and what power? I'm thinking maybe something that is good for 200-300 yards. Also 308 maybe?

Yup, get a 308. Scope..... maybe a good 2x6 for that range.
