If you have any of the ones you mentioned you might take several with you and see what she likes. After knowing a bit more about what to expect from a blade she might be able to give you more of an idea of what she likes.

Concerning the Magnum Bear Cub, I bought two when they came out, and sold them immediately because I really didn't like the feel of it. I think if it had a more pronounced front guard, I would've liked it, but my fingers would constantly slip over the guard. I am a big fan of my HBC because my pinky rests on the pommel, arresting any forward movement of my hand. Ironically, I think the HBC works better for larger hands as a 3 finger knife.

I voted for the Anorexic B4, the Weiner dog and the stripped 311.
B4- great knife for a multitude of uses and being infi, sharpens up well and easily.
Weiner Dog.- Proven blade shape, non threatening shape, more like a fillet knife shape but also works well in a lot of different uses.
311- smaller blade, handle perfect for a smaller (Usually) female hand. Light weight and will work for a lot of different uses, and can be thinned out some if wanted.

How about the Scrapivore? I remember that the pink was a big hit and there are some really nice grips that could be bolted to it.
Plus at about 3" she may decide to carry hers all the time.

Plus at about 3" she may decide to carry hers all the time. I thought about a Scrapivore, but decided that I wanted to get her something with handles. If I had the tools and a workshop, I would definitely consider getting a Scrapivore, Swamp Warden, or Skelly Warden and add a beautiful handle. Wait a minute... Why did I overlook the Game Warden? I guess it may be because I have never owned or handled one. Can anyone with a Game Warden tell me if you think it would be a good candidate? I would definitely want a thin one.

I voted for the weiner dog for a few reasons. #1 the mudder handle is awesome, #2 its 154cm with busse heat treat, #3 its not overly stout like most bussekin, #4 it looks cool, and last but not least... Who doest want to give their lady a weiner?!?

I voted scrapmax and 311 -- but a war dog or magnum bear cub would also be good candidates. while I really like the B4, I think it would be "mentally too big" for her at this point - but once she is more comfortable with using blades, it would be a great choice.

My wife really likes the Scrapmaxs in the kitchen, but the thinness that makes them so great, does not inspire confidence in the wilderness. The handles of the 311 and 511 fit her well, but she always chooses the 511. For your lady's needs, I vote Scrapmuk or B4. The HCLE 4 shows up occasionly, and could be a good choice.
