Thanks for making me feel welcome guys! I'll put some comparison pics up of the dog father and 511 when I get home. Especially the handles, I had heard several people say the 511 handle was a bit too small but it fits my hand fine with room to spare, I am quite small tho. Anyway pics when I can.

The 511 is among my favorites, so here. I did however round the choil a little with my Dremel. Right where the edge meets the choil.
I made the choil much more usefull.

Yes, I can see how that would be a useful mod to increase comfort. Mine is a bit sharp...still love it though.

Ok cool I figured this out....here are the pics I took of my DDF and muddy 511. There are also some other knives for size comparison.

Very nice. Now I will sleep better at night knowing that "it" happened well unless I look at your avatar. Slightly scarier then me I mean mine.

Welcome aboard, thanks for rubbing it in that I dont own a DF

Yes, my avatar is a bit unnerving but I work for a tree service and I sometimes feel like leatherface wielding a chainsaw with a 28 inch bar on it .
I went for a dog father over a 911 because it is SR-77 and available in the desert color pattern. So those two factors pushed me over the edge. Oh yeah, .275 all the way!
