Any idea how long? Since I passed on the NMFSH, I want to get a TGLB but I have to figure out when I can afford it.
No idea, Credit card payments are not processed until 7-14 days before shipment of knife and knives are shipped in 4 -14 weeks. That's what there site says. Maybe someone who has ordered & received one can shed some light on this.

I ordered my TGLB by phone. Pre-paid with a MO. And it took right at 2 months from time of order placement to tracking number in my inbox.

That said...this was right after they were initially announced. How it applies to more recent orders, I have no idea.

Need2Know: Thanks for the response. So I'm looking at the end of November for my knife more or less... <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smirk.gif" alt="" />

I still got my original Scrapper 6 from the first ever Scrapyard batch. I have beat it, pounded with it, pried apart pallets, chopped small trees, hauled it on endless back-packing trips, started fires, built shelter, cut myself more than I should have, thrown it a thousand times (it is an excellent thrower)...i have electrocuted it by accident, stabbed through metal, chopped open cans, stripped off aluminum siding, and just generally mistreated it during the course of its flea-bitten life, but it is still my "go to blade". Aside from the dings and marks, it still keeps a super sharp edge and it is my favorite.

I know that others might pick different blades as their favorite, but for me, I consider the Scrapper 6 to be one of the finest implements ever conceived by the human race. Its a perfect size, tough as nails, comfortable and simple.

All the rest of my unused blades came and went back in 2009 when hard times hit.

GeorgeD, WELCOME TO THE YARD! Guess telling you how strong they are would be like coal to newcastle. So I'll just say I'm sorry you had to get rid of your dogs but there IS hope. You can maybe find some of them on the secondary market, price permitting.

And from time to time you will find dogs selling extras for the price they paid. Just don't give up the quest.

You say it's humble Timo, but it's a good one! I don't know what you couldn't get done with that selection.
