Here's a few pics to reflect the changes I have made. The pouches are removable by simply loosening the "Chicago Screws" holding them in place. I mounted two pouches, but there is room for a third. <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif" alt="" />

Usually when I am excited for new knife to come my way I can look up similar knife in a review or grab something out of the knife drawer that will help me imagine the new arrival on the horizon. For example, checking out an S5 and SR R4 I can imagine what the 411 might be like. Waiting for a 911 I could look up old DF and Battle Rat reviews.

Then there is the 1311. I was swinging my Condor Golok this weekend and it dawned on me......my 1311's are going to be almost this big! I cannot recall ever handling a “knife” this big or seeing one in action. I got to looking around for a review of such an immense blade and found one on BF:

http://www.bladeforums.com/forums/showth...t=grass+machete

This great little review of the grass machete made me want my 1311 even more. I found a few youtube vids of it to and, needless to say, I am pumped!!!! The 1311 will be a game changer for sure!

It did raise the question; is the 1311 a knife or machete?

I guess I’ll go with knife because if it is a machete it would be dubbed the DOGCHET!!!!!!

Cool. Thanks for sharing.
