I'm thinking about ordering one of those $12.00 canvas sheath that has the two pockets on it.

Details?

I remember saying that same thing and then I decided to buy land and build a house that would justify owning a knife that big.

Not sure I have enough posts to count as a "dog" per se, love the knives anyway. I both registered too late and sat this one out intentionally. An epic blade indeed, but your best knife is the one you have on you and regrettably I rarely can carry a shortsword on my person.

Does that help with your informal survey of sorts, or was it simply unwelcome?

I actually placed an order, because i didn't want to miss out, but wasn't 100% sure i actually wanted one. I ended up cancelling the order.

While i love the idea of there being a special version for forum members, and the fact that the 1311 borders on being a short sword is rather cool, it just doesn't end up looking as good to me as i thought and didn't really fit in with my financial schedule for other purchases i want to make. At first, i thought it was rather amazing, but the more i looked at it, the less i liked it. Might seem an odd thing to say, but it just didn't fit with my idea of a what looks good. (My opinion only, of course)

So while i could have shuffled things to have purchased it if i was really into it, i ended up letting it go. I do have a 411 on order, because i LOVE the look of that. And of course i recently received my 911 and 311, both of which i like. Just a matter of priorities i guess. If i wanted a long blade, i'd probably be more interested in the Swamp Rat Rucki.

First batch shipping already--oh crap. I ordered mine the first night, but don't remember how late after the go was posted. I guess I need to ask Renee. Glad payday is Friday!

1311 doesn't really float my boat. I have a Basic 10 which is big enough for me. I do want a 9-11 though and I have all the other 11 series knives (2 of the 3-11's, a black and a brown one) and a 4-11 on order. Can't wait to hear what you guy's have to say when you get them and put them to use. Dan is really bringing the steel!

Once I receive the 13-11's I will decide if I really want a Rucki or not.

I sat the 1311 out for a variety of reasons:

1) I've MASSIVELY over spent on knives lately

2) I'm not in love with the "11" series of knives

3) I'm really wanting to start adding INFI to my "big knife" collection

I'll probably regret not getting a 1311 next summer when I need to prune some vegetation around my property, but hopefully by then I'll have 11" of infi to do it with
