I went with black canvas on my TGLB, not so much a cost issue or bare-hand and grip concern.

With larger knives, for tasks I know will take a little time, I throw on a pair of gloves.

Paper and G10 pros and cons have been pretty much covered here that's the only reason I threw pics of the canvas up for fun.

I agree, I usually carry a pair of gloves in my EDC pack.

N2N is that a spec ops sheath? Which one and how does it fit the TGLB?

I might pick one up when my TGLB gets here...

N2K....not N2N....it's cool, though.

That is the Spec Ops Combat Master that was (may still be) an official option directly from Busse HQ. It fits well as I recall.

I asked for official word about--if the kydex insert was fitted to the TGLB before it shipped....official answer in reply was---that it indeed is fitted to the TGLB.

Read into that whatever you like. But I can say that it fits fine in that sheath. Honestly, it's sitting in the sheath now tucked away gathering dust. Shame, I know.

I'll dig it out and give better info later if you like. What I can say for certain is that it's a great sheath, or at the very least, a great place to start.

To clarify...my above words are not a knock on the TGLB. I like it a lot, just busy lately. And my knife buying outpaces my knife using by a large margin as well.

Well, now see? You didn't include canvas into the original equation I Prefer canvas micarta for utility--it's more durable than g-10 and doesn't get slick when wet like paper micarta. For looks, I like G-10--more color choices

That's one concern i have is if my hands get wet, will it be too slippery.

Paper doesn't give much to grip to when it gets wet (IMO). I ended up ditching my RMD with black paper for that reason and picked up one in canvas and one in G-10
