Thanks for sharing and posting pics of all those sharp goodies! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />

Would be sweet to get the chance to at least fondle a few of those knives.

EDIT: trying NOT to drool all over my key board..

Jim, luck, THANK YOU for the pictures. Man that is a bunch of steel! The probably had to get an 18 wheeler just to haul all that Ohio goodness!

I hope it was a rental though. They won't need that much hauling capacity on the way back!

very cool pics. I wish I could have made it down again this year but with people spending 20k plus I'm not sure it would have done me any good lol

thanks for sharing!

Thanks a lot for those pics...
Must be hard to restrain yourself there!

Are there any limitations to how many knives one individual can buy?

Buy as many as you like. I know one total was over $20,000

Holymoly, 20000$ is just a notch over my monthly knivebudget!

I wonder how much it amounts to, when it is flipped on the exchange!?

I spoke with a couple others who rang up more than $6K, and saw a few more that had around that, but who I didn't ask. Money's one of those things that it's sometimes tough to work into the conversation. My haul was just over $1.8K after tax, and I was middling -- I saw a couple folks with just a knife or two, and one frequent attendee told me that he didn't buy a thing. There are some serious players who come to the Thursday night pre-sale, but there are also some more modest folk, so don't think that you have to take out a second mortgage to attend.

Honestly, I didn't think that I'd buy nearly as much as I did during the preview. When we lined up outside for the "rush" back into the room, I remarked that I had my eye on two knives, but wouldn't be upset if I didn't spend a cent. Then, while snatching possibilities to evaluate in a corner, five rats that weren't on my list found their way into my basket (I kept 3 of them) and the 911 mods were so popular that I grabbed a couple more than I intended to as investments.

I'm going to wander off topic for a moment -- I hear the word "decimate" used when people actually mean "annihilate". I've heard it on television reports recently and again in last night's debate -- decimation was a Roman legion-level punishment where 1 in 10 would be executed -- it means a 10% loss.
After the initial ruch, the tables were much closer to annihilated. Later, as people returned knives from their hoards, it appeared that perhaps half of the knives came back, but that's a lot to be gone in a matter of minutes.

I just made biscuits for breakfast and need to take Zuki in for his annual checkup this afternoon -- I'm still thinking on whether to stay with Sentinel or go back to Interceptor for him. However, I'll post pictures of my haul later this afternoon.

You get a Satin Jack Tac Jim? Those are great looking knives and the price is nice. Those camo/modded 911's are sweet too.

Thanks again Jim and Luck

I agree with RN those Jack Tacs were looking pretty sweet!
I hope I have some decent cash in hand if there's a Ganza

Also those Rucki's got some crazy blades on em! What is that orange handled/arctic white thing? I like the Tanto but to be honest the agressive point from the ones in the shop is fine with me.
