You picked a great chunk of steel to start your addiction. And to repeat everyone else, welcome to the yard.

Wow! Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

I think my next purchase will be something in the chopper realm. It looks like I'm a little late to the show for the 1311 but I'm sure I can do some reading here and find some other recommendations.

Cheers!

Welcome to the Yard. Get a 911 while they're in the store it should be a fair chopper.

Like Sethrotull said, get a 911. It IS a good chopper! At 3/16 inch thick and 9 1/2 inches long it isn't overly heavy, it carries well and chops most excellently!

Skunk, your knife specs page says the 911 is 1/4" thick. So does the yard site. Either way I'm sure it's an awesome blade to purchase. I love my dogfather which is basically the same thing. Can't go wrong with a big chopper from the yard <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
