Nice review...commrade

MM

lol!...oh...I'm laughing so hard there are tears forming!

Somebody has been in the death chat!

The Farmer is nice too! I am liking the drop point and the handle is fuller than another I had.

Pit, that would blow if he bows out- where did you hear that? I had read he was working a regular job and knife-making was going very part-time for him. Wifey ordered for my b-day with no problem...hummm???

Yeah maybe not stopping entirely, this is a quote from the man himself:

"That the Freakshow Forge and Knife Shop is going to have to cut back operations.

This economy has left me no choice. There are some obligations that I have to meet, and knifemaking is not providing enough return. I have now gotten a part time job and I am getting ready to get another one.

I will make knives, although it will be at a significantly reduced number. I will not be taking new orders. On future knives, I will only use reclaimed steel (L6 and 1095) and the handle materials I have on hand. There are a few orders in the works, and I will be filling those. Most are nearly completed. I have notified those that I will not be filling their orders.

I want to thank everyone that has helped the Freakshow stay afloat. I couldn't have done it without ya. it has been a good run, but not it is time to crawl for a while."

Did ya see my question about the handles ? I just wondered how the wardog handle compared with the Mudder, I have a Mudder and love it but have not yet tried the Wardog handle !

That stinks with David...

I did see the question and wanted to think a little. Like most things depends...I love my mudders on my Weiner but it feels very different than the 411. I was reminded today how versitile the mudders are with a bigger blade. Likewise with the War Dog handle..when I handled one of the elmax blades, it seemed to me that handle was perfect for a smaller lighter blade. I love the War Dog, it's about as good a bush knife as my customs and is a bad a** fighter as well...as well as a bomb proof monster! I think with the heavier/longer blade of the War Dog though, a littler fuller size on the front finger would be nice. But, that's me being picky. It is a go to knife for me for sure. Seems like the 411 is a great all rounder in this size.

HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!

I can't wait to use the 4-11. Your review confirms my suspicions.

Thank Max! Figured I was going to be pm'ing with news of an AR today. had origianlly planned on picking up the MP 15 Sport and hitting the range but mother nature wasn't having that plan!

Nice write up man! Really wanted to love the 411, but I really do not like choils on blades that size

the back end by the wrist gets in the way of motion.

Yeah, that was my impression of the handle too.
This is what I did to help a bit on my wardenmax user. It helped a lot on both ends. I just used another scrapmax to do the mod.

YUP, I was gonna say, Sculpt your Butt! I rounded off the butt of my wardog and to me at least it made a LOT of difference. I think Hooker is the one I stole this idea from. Nicely rounded butts are nice.

I like the WD handle as is, but I like the mudders even better Glad to see 'em back!
