I like my War Dog. It stays in my hiking pack. It gets used a bunch. Didn't get a Weiner Dog.

I used my War Dog to finish up the processing of my last two deer. I really like this knife and the re-profile job that DT did on it. Thus far the new profile seems to have worked. I need to strop it after every job that I do when related to cutting meet. I can deal with this because before it was back to the rods and that was not really giving me any success on keeping the blade sharp. I now have four deer on the WD and still shaving sharp with stropping only.

I need to put this blade under more stress to see if the DT profile holds up. Only if I need to strop it after cutting on some wood then I know I have a favorite blade in hand.

I wonder if the factory edges are to thick on my 411s and my rodent solution.

I used my edgepro with a leather backing and sandpaper to reprofile my 411 to a 19° convex edge, and finished with black, green, and white compound. HOLY COW its easily my sharpest at the moment but I did remove a lot of metal, and using the apex allows for very light and consistant pressure.
