The elmax excels at deer processing if that helps--haven't skinned with it though...my Muk gets more time than most with that task.

The Tree Rat is having a good season and I'm just being selective. I was with him the other night when his Freemen dulled out on him. I just happen to have my newly re-profiled WD and let him use it. He was amazed at the sharpness of it and when I got it home I ran it across the strop and holy cow, that thing slid right down my almost hairless arm and shaved without effort. I’m hoping the DT did the WD right with the new profile, so far so gooooood.

I was out Friday night with my favorite deer rifle and my WD. Had the 30-30 Marlin out and came home with two deer in the cooler. The WD, with little effort on the tail end of the last deer was able to field butcher the two deer in short order. This AM, I ran it across the strop and that puppy is shaving sharp again. If it can hold the edge for some time and only require a brief session with a strop, I’ll make it my number one go to blade. Need to do some camping and regular chores to see how it holds up. This could be the all in one blade I desire.
