Sooo....I got a decent buck and I didn't want to deal with the cost or expense of taxidermy. I figured, "how hard can a European mount be to make?" The answer--not hard, just a PITA. Involved skinning the skull, plucking out the eyes, boiling the skull, scraping it, boiling it more, scraping it more, and then peroxiding it. Nicely done, sir. What's the inside spread on that 10...looks about 15-16 or so...or are my eyes failing me? Very good looking buck, I love the form of his horns...looks "dominant".

There is a certain type of beetle that the pros use for stripping bones completely.
Did you use some kind of resin to seal the bone? Is that even necessary?
