I suspect I'll be pounding it thru a nice hardwood log soon to try it's abilty as a kindling creator. Might use it to carve a nice baton first. I saw that somewhere recently and I need one for the purpose.

Hmm 'As happy as GF with a new chopper' does have a certain ring of truth to it!

In relation to a certain well known other knife maufacturer who's Steel blades don't like Cold solid wood stumps, how about "about as much use as a chocolate tea-pot"? (Or rubber spanner... or for a bit ruder "[censored] on Tarzan"...) Sorry to any offended folks out there!

Paul - No offense taken regarding "teats on Tarzan", even though I enjoyed Tarzan movies as a young weed-hopper.

The new Bowie for Christmas at an affordable price - now THAT would make us all "happier than GF with a new chopper"! Nice work Paul ! Tom

Just looking at the (thread starting) picture again, I think I'll have my INFI Dan knives in LE form! They look great with the logo!

I am still amazed that the logo is not on all but the military knives. It is a great logo, readily identifying the knife as a Scrap Yard product.

That is exactly why they can't have it, we had to cut the camelpack logo off our ...camelbacks. The military can't endorse or support and name brand items. Even though EVERYONE knew what brand everything was....that's the military for you....still affecting me even after I am out

I suppose things change over time, even in the military. When I was in VietNam nobody cared what we carried if it was a personal item, including knives. It didn't matter if they were logoed Buck, Gerber, Case, or whatever. Possibly the difference was that we were normally in the "bush", and did not encounter much "big brass" in the boonies, thereby dodging more hassles.

I can understand manufacturers producing "sterile" items for the military contracts, but items for individuals should carry the logos, etc. I would certainly like them on any Scrap Yard knives I purchase - it is a sharp logo!! Tom

All INFI stuff should 'say' SY and if the logo mutt was chewing the word INFI that'd be rather good!

If no issue kit has logos do 'they' grind the prancing horse off the M16's?

I seem to remember M92F's were logo'd too... Anyone say double standard? SY... proud to stick it to the Taliban or Insurgency...
