2012 The year of the Dragon in review
JAN 01: The year started off with the Outdoors and Fieldcraft section having 23,960 posts.
The Knives Forum started the year off with 525,796 posts.
The Death Chat Redoux started the year on page 97
The First post of the year was number 554,308 and was made by Sar5.
And we needed 195,645 more posts before reaching the 750,000 post goal.
JAN 12: There was a bad Storm/Tornado (Estimated at an F3) in North Carolina where several were hurt/killed, but no dogs suffered.
Jan 14th: Joran Van der Sloot was sentenced to 28 years prison time in Peru for the Murder of a girl there. So there is at least SOME justice.
And out total post count is now up to 556,270.
FEB 02: Punxsutawney Pa. Phil, who’s actual address is on gobblers Knob officially predicted another 6 weeks of winter!
The total website post count has climbed to 559,539.
FEB 04: Private Klink (Tom) busted his way into the 23,000 realm of posts and rth548 (Todd) became the third highest poster by breaking into the 18,000 post range.
FEB10: We broke into the 561,000 realm of posts on this date. Alas the Death Chat Redoux died on page 299 with post number 561,052 at 8:33pm. BUT the Newest Death Chat was born at 08:32PM with post number 561,051 and was started by our own JYD# 1, Private Klink!
Our post count is now at 561,124.
FEB22: Our very own Bald Lap Dog (BLD) became JYD #140 and made Scrapyard history be becoming the first JYD of 2012!
MAR 11: Daylight savings time started this morning at 0200.
The total website post count is now at 566,426.
Mar12: Marshall became JYD #141.
Dan announced a new Moderator in the yard. SkunkHunter joined the ranks.
MAR 17: One of Dan’s favorite days, SAINT PATRICKS DAY! The Total post count is now at 567,286.
MAR 10: Dan announced that the 911 would be the next Scrapyard release! Then he promptly went on vacation!
The Total Post count is now at 571,329.
APR 14: Tom mad the announcement that I was the first Dog to reach 40,000 posts.
The Total Website post count is now at 571,713.
APR 18: Our very own Renee our Wonder Woman SURVIVED the Illustrious Boston Marathon on Monday the 16th. Now THAT IS an accomplishment! Way to go Renee.
The Total post count is now at 572,165 posts.
MAY03: The 911 specs are posted.
The Website post count is now at 575,862 posts.
MAY10: Dan announced the 911 (with pics) being up for sale on the site.
The Total Website post count is now at 577,386.
MAY11: rht548 (Todd) hit 20,000 posts!
MAY18th: BigLapDog (BLD) became a Daddy on the 17th, a 10 pound 10 ounce 22 inch long beautiful girl!
The post count is now at 579,575.
JUN03: Record number of users online. 1129 at 9:30PM.
JUN07: ON June the 3rd at 9:30pm Scrapyard history was again made. There were a total of 1129 users signed on to the website.
The Total post count is now at 582,204.
JUN29: The Supreme Court (on 28 June) made it legal for the Federal Government to FORCE us to buy medical insurance, or have to pay a substantial “Fine”.
It was also the day the ONLY cabinet member in history (Eric Holder) was cited for Contempt of Congress.
Our Total Website post count is now at 583,967.
Jul07: The day after Dan’s sip and talk revealed that from first to last post, it was 6 hours and 32 minutes long and encompassed 635 posts.
The total post count is now at 585,625 posts.

The Total post count is now at 586,868 posts, a 1320 post increase over a 24 hour period.
JUL09: Because of Dan's announcement on Saturday about a new blade he is working on and the restrictions regarding it, one of the newer dogs started a brand new thread, the JYD OR BUST thread and it has literally taken over the site.
It started life at 02:02AM Saturday morning and the rest, as they say is history. As of now, it has 4866 REPLIES, that means posts folks, in just this ONE thread! It has 243 pages. Since I went to bed around 2330 last night, the Dogs, hot on the scent of the JYD status thereby insuring them one of Dan's new blades with their JYD number laser engraved on it posted up an additional 111 pages!
As it now stands, the total website post count is setting at 591,429 posts for an increase of 4562 posts since Sunday mornings count.
There were two new JYD’S born , 2tonyb number 142 and Hobbes number 143.
JUL10: We had another JYD birth, #144 not2sharp
JUL11: We had we had THREE JYD’S born on this day, #145 Need2Know, #146 drbarnes, #147 bema and #148 RUNIT.
The total post count is now at 595,018.
Since the updates on Sunday the 8th, the total post count has increased by 8151 posts!
JUL12: The post counts keep on climbing. The total post count has increased by 11,325 posts over the last 4 days!
The present post count is now at 596,949.
JUL14: Three more JYD’S were born on this day, #149 gunfixrjoe, #150 luck and #151 dresden.
JUL15: We passed into the 600,000 realm with our post counts, ending with 601,496
JUL17: Another JYD birth. JYD #152 A fond Farewell just minutes before the day changed.
JUL20: The Death Chat AND the JYD or Bust threads both died.
DC died on the 19th at 0722 with post 603,900.
JYD or Bust died on the 19th at 0718 with post number 603,898.
BIRTH of the NEW DC at 0715 with post number 603,896

ON THIS THE OPENING DAY OF BLADE 2011, OUR POST COUNT IS 510,426 POSTS! YUP, 7 HOURS BEFORE BLADE OFFICIALLY OPENS, WE BEAT OUR GOAL OF 500,000 POSTS BY 10,426 AS OF THE TIME OF THIS UPDATE.
Since blade 2011 until today we have offered up 139,731 posts, or 9315.4 posts per month, AND we still have 7 more days to go for a full month.
