Ok dogs, the New Year has started off in turmoil with the Nation divided in many ways. Which way will the Nation now go?

Our beginning post count for the year was was 678,477.

The Outdoors and Fieldcraft section is now at 27,296 posts as we begin the New Year.

The Knives Forum section is now at 646,541 posts as the New Year begins.

The WZDC page count starts the New Year off with 1503 pages.

The TOTAL Website post count is now at 678,562 posts as we start the New Year leaving us with 71,438 more posts required to reach the 750,000 post goal.

I'll make a point on the division and make it short. The right and left share the blame for our current situation and I don’t expect it to get any better. I’m not sure where we are headed but I greatly appreciate this forum and others like this one, where we can come together and share likeminded interests.

I'm upset but not discouraged. I can lose a battle, lose many battles...but I won't give up. Beat me, take from me, do as much harm as you like...I'm stronger willed than a beat down, no matter the severity. The war is not lost as long as those like me don't give up their beliefs.

Our Country will be fine. The road is rocky, but this to shall pass. For all the media banter about there not being enough "old men" to right the current wrongs, they overlook we younger folks that still see the light.

Ok on this the third day of the year, here comes the stats.

The Outdoors and Fieldcraft section is now at 27,308 posts which us up from yesterdays 27,296 for a 12 post increase.

The Knives Forum is now at 646,643 posts which is up from yesterdays 646,541 giving us a 102 post increase.

The WZDC Page count is now at 1506 pages, up from yesterdays 1503 giving us a 3 page increase.

The TOTAL Website post count is now at 678,676, up from yesterdays 678,562 giving us a 114 post increase.

So that means we now need 71,324 more posts to reach our 750,000 post goal.

Today's stats are as follows.

The Outdoors and Fieldcraft section is now at 27,322 posts, up from 27,308 for a 14 post increase.

The Knives Forum section is now at 646,748, up from yesterdays 646,643 giving a 105 post increase.

The WZDC page count is now at 1511, up from yesterdays 1506 for a 5 post increase.

The TOTAL Website post count is now at 678,796 posts, up from yesterdays 678,676 yielding a 120 post increase.

So as we trot ever forward toward our 750,000 post goal we find ourselves still needing 71,204 more posts.

Well, I really am glad that Skunk keeps the updates going. I enjoy them. I think you guys know where I stand on the current political climate and all the things that are going on in Washington. It was well said above that the new generation can handle it but lets not forget that the older generation has a lot of experience. The experience we need in Washington is not one of bi-partisanship's, big business money funding talking puppets, or self-interested politicians making their retirement portfolio larger BUT one that out Founding Fathers founded this nation on. It is a shame that there is not a Constitutionalists party.

I hope you folks don't mind when I put "News items" here. There are possibly some folks that wouldn't hear about it if it wasn't here. SO unless you, the Formites or the owners/regulators of our beloved Scrapyard tell me no I will put the items I think noteworthy here.

According to Fox News, an Illinois Senate committee advanced two measures Wednesday that, if passed, basically ban ALL semi-automatic firearms as well as pump-action shotguns and high-capacity (over 10 round) magazines.

So as we gradually approach The 2013 BLADE Show will be held May 31 - June 2, 2013 at the Cobb Galleria Centre, Atlanta, GA we find that we still need 71,021 more posts. Will we make it by the opening day of Blade 2013? Only YOU, the dogs can determine that.
