It would seem to me there are four kinds (classes? of people in the U.S.)

1. Sheeple we all know about them.
2. Ostriches - They bury their heads in the sand and hide from what's happening.
3. MORAL conservatives, those who believe in God, Guns, Guts and the American way! Meaning COMMON SENSE.
4. Wolves, Vultures, what ever you want to call them, the DESTROYERS of the United States!

Let me help out:
1. They are out there and are easily persuaded with large promises of things without work. We all need to do what we can do to help free this mis-guided group. If we can change just a fraction of them we will be winning a battle in itself.
2. Well, what is there to say except that I love ostrich boots. Time for this group to make a decision as if you are not with me, you are against me.
3. I fall into this group as does my friends. We are always trying to persuade the "open minded" people into being open minded, learn and make an informed decision.
4. Well, I know what we do to those kind of scourge here. Since we can not, or hopefully won't have to take it to that level, we must be willing to make a stand for what is right. Ever wonder why appeasement doesn't work, well because the taker keeps on taking. I understand working towards a common middle ground but the current administration has demonstrated that they don't want to work towards a common good <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/mad.gif" alt="" />

Stay the course, keep your powder dry, and stick to your morals and principles.

How long before people who own knives and guns are classified as nut jobs or terrorists? Wondering if it will be my lifetime or my kids...

Politicians no longer lead, they give into popular opinion because there is a voter economy in place. The ones with the most voters get a shot at fame and power, money and the sweet life follows.

Most people, especially in large groups, have no concept of action and consequence. This has been true over in Europe for a while now, where you can consider governments as parents and their citizens as children.

My wife an I were just talking about it today at the pharmacy, there are now gummy vitamins for adults and mouth wash is sweetened. You know, the things you do for little kids to keep them comfortable. The result is that people never have to be uncomfortable, and the moment they are in a real world situation like losing their job, getting mugged, losing a loved one, etc. They don't know how to handle it. That in turn creates a huge market for anti-depressive medicines, etc., which seems like it is creating more crazy people.

The people we are creating will naturally see anyone who owns a firearm or carries a pocket knife as a threat. They are unaccustomed to people who are self reliant and have learned that only criminals carry "weapons". Their reliance on their government is complete and they are subconsciously threatened by the notion that the government can't be around constantly to keep them out of trouble.

People need to stand up to opportunist politicians and too-big corporations who no longer need their customers to be happy to stay in business to reverse this.

I carry a small knife at work--nothing more than 3.5~4" long. I've gotten stares and comments for that--"Why would you need a weapon at work?" they ask as I am cutting them a slice of venison with it for them to sample....some people...

i dont think i fit into any of those groups completely. then again, not fitting in is something i excel at.
