I'd say the 7-11 would be most practical.
I've never had a Ratweiler, but the Chopweiler I had seemed to be the perfect do all blade.
I LOVED the Tali-Whacker, I should've never sold it. The tip on the new one looks like its more robust than the original, which makes it less useful imo. I really liked everything about the original
I'd really like to see a TGLB without the top guard. If it could be had that way at the same price it would be mine.
My vote goes to the Ratweiler. I'm getting a Tali-whacker no matter what- but what role do you see it in? Does it have a big knife feel? Pure fighter? I know nothing about them except..I want one! LOL Rich...I'm there with ya. Then I realized that I end up selling anything I never use....so it has me really considering the features of each. You and me (and a bunch of other folks) do that, no?! And the beat goes on... at least we are predictable, guess! I've been looking hard at my new ZT and thinking "I don't like that pinky burn dang it!!" Just carry the 511 and call it quits.

IF you can carry two, Just get a 911 and a 4-5 incher. The 711 would work, but if you are taking two, why not have the extra two inches of blade. I think I said the 711 and a 4-5 incher earlier, but I meant the 911 if you are packing two knives. Heck you could even go down to the 311 and still have things covered. I should clarify. If / when I carry two (most of the time)....the 1311/Machete and B04/CABS would get the call. I'm not really looking to offset the 1311 and/or Machete. Granted, i cannot say that I never would take the 7-8" with a 4" blade...just not a replacement o the longer choppers as a primary chopper setup.

Wait, the 911 is the small knife right? Piggybacked to the 1311 or Zilla?

Ishi, I think you will have everything covered with the 1311 and the B04.

MM, thanks for that. The 611 was off the radar also. Curious to see the form factor that Dan comes up with on this one. If it ends up with the Regulator handle, but non-bowie, such as the prototype....you might be right. I will keep my eyes open.

I am not usually a big fan of the 7 to 8 inch blade size I think the only knife I own in that size is my tt regulator. I live in a temperate rain forest and about 80% to 90% of the time I spend in the outdoors is in temperate or alpine forest with the rest being semi-arid For my own uses I find the combo of a 4 to 5 inch blade size and an axe/hatchet works best. The only chopper I own (not including machetes and billhooks) is kershaw outcast that I have used for years (1311 is on order). Other than the cool factor I just don't know how practical a solo blade set-up of 7 to 8 inches really is. Of course different climate zones, have different types of vegetation so the ideal blade set-ups would be different
