Let me start off with my most memorable vacation...

We as a family took a vacation each year and had a grand time with Mom and Dad. One of the most memorable was a one of the multitude of trips we made to the Smokey Mountains.

Boss Hog and I were 17 and 19 years olds. Dad would always drag us out of bed before the sun came up to go and make breakfast at the Chimney Top picnic area in the Park.

Jerry and I were packing up the car after breakfast when I spotted a bear. Out of nowhere Jerry took off running at the bear, who in turn ran from him at break neck speed. So you had the bear, with Jerry in pursuit and me in chase of Jerry. Jerry was within 10 to 15 feet of the bear when it jumped into a mountain stream, went under and came up on the other side and then ran almost strait up a mountain side. Jerry and I looked in wonder as this massive animal disappeared over the top some 300 feet away. To this day Jerry has no idea why he did it nor what he would have done had he caught it.

We laugh about every time we thing of vacations

It will work out...I've still got a bourbon to pour myself. Plus UFC is on regular TV.

My best vacations would have been the 4 Christmases I spent in Hawaii, a month at a time. Being single in Hawaii was NICE! Course this was back in the mid to late 80's, SEVERAL years before I met Patty.
