My best vacations would have been the 4 Christmases I spent in Hawaii, a month at a time. Being single in Hawaii was NICE! Course this was back in the mid to late 80's, SEVERAL years before I met Patty. Santa's in shorts??? Santa's helpers, ONE in a Snakeskin Bikini!

I just found the thread!
I'm on Guiness now, cold Guiness! Take that Europe!
So my best vacation was my first time in Vegas. I was with a hot chick and it was my fist adult vacation away from the parents. I was trashed and this was before Vegas became "family friendly". I remember sitting in my apartment not believing I had actually done everything I had done.

That's a good one Dan.
I was fortunate enough that the place Dad worked at at first provided a 3/4 ton pickup with a slide in camper for his employees to use on vacation. Spent a lot of time out Touring the sights, Yellowstond, Grand Teatons, Glacier park. Plus We also was Washington D.C. and down the coast to florida.
I remember one year we were in Yellowstone and there was a Momma bear and her two cubs just outside the campground on the other side of the road (this would have been in the early/mid 60's). Any way, Dad and I were on one side of the road and dad was using the 8mm movie camera and finally said man looks like they are getting close. He looked up, they were about 15-20 feet away and I was one the other side of another road just behind him! Nothing like getting the juice flowing. A great memory

back in the early 70's, we would go to macon Ga every summer for 2 weeks and run around with the cousins -- countryside, swamps, water moccasins, kudzu, trampoline, a chicken farm, and mini-bikes.
I'm lucky to be alive some of the stuff we did.

My best vacation was my senior trip in high school. I went to a private Waldorf school, and me and my whole class went to Italy. We hit up Florence, Rome and some small country towns between them. Very cool <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbup.gif" alt="" />
