I think it has a 7.5 or maybe 7.75 inch blade. But I think it is 7.5.

I really like mine. I was fortunate to find an original at a reasonable price.

I thought it odd that both the 11 and Rodent series didn't include an 8" blade. Thinking about, there aren't that many other 8" blades by other companies. Both ESEE and Becker miss out the 8".

I fully realise that most folks fall into the 3-4" or 5-7" flavours, choosing 9+" for a chopper; in this case an 8" blade doesn't really fit. Still, it may be nice to see some.

Though it's not likely I'll be able to afford any new knives in the future <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/frown.gif" alt="" />. Just hoping that I'll be able to find the funds for the 611 when it appears.

The Becker BK5 is 8 inch and is a GREAT multi purpose knife. Much tougher than it looks. Very fast in hand as well.

Thanks for pointing that out Psyop.

For some reason I thought that the BK5 was 7 inches like the BK7. I really like Beckers but I don't have a BK5 yet.

Having said that, I didn't realise that the TGLB is 8 inches either. Lovely looking knife but a lot spendier than Beckers!

The Ranger RD-7, Entrek Destroyer, Bark River Hudson Bay Camp, Busse NMSFNO are all 8" camp knives. I miss my NMSFNO. I had convexed mine and it was a chopping beast. Sold it when I needed some cash.

Horned, dangerous, and off my medication.
