YUP, Hobbes and I were talking and out of the blue he said if they have any Tan 411s he would pick one up for me. I think I will like it better than the S5 and maybe even the Wardog. Five inch blades just seem to be the Redheaded stepchild to me for some reason, and I have THREE! <img src="/ubbthreads/images/graemlins/doh.gif" alt="" /> Four inch range is ok, and six inch and up. Hey if you can get me a tan one please?

Did I miss the 411? I just ordered my 1st Scrap Yard, the 911 and I thought the 411 would go perfectly with it for backcountry camping. But, did I miss the 411 sale in April?

The sale was in September 2012 and they didn't last long. We are all waiting for them to be available again.

dghboy315, the 411 has been out of stock for a while. BUT there is a promise for it to come back, hopefully in the near future. We are hoping that it will be offered at the Blade show.

Thanks for the answers. I thought I read earlier in this thread (page 2) that someone heard that the 411 would be back on the order page in April 2013. I just wanted to make sure I didn't miss it and ask whether this had been verified.

I prefer the Rodent 4, but the 411 is an awesome knife. I may have to get rid of a couple, to get another R4.

I prefer the Rodent 4, but the 411 is an awesome knife. I may have to get rid of a couple, to get another R4. What is it about the R4 you like better? I had an Ratmandu and am probably the only person not to like it. Kind of put me off from the Rodent series. Still want a 411 even though I probably don't have any reason to have it given the war dog I already own. When did that stop anyone?

The hump that some complain about fits my hand perfectly. I put liners on mine to increase thickness of the handles. Mudders are just a little to small. The rounded choil vs the squarish choil is way more comfortable. I prefer a wider blade. I do like the Ratmandu, and in some ways the R4 is similar to the Rmandu, so it may not be right for you, but is definitely my preference.
