Cabelas has herters 223 online for like $6/7 a box- 5 box limit.
Don't know how it is but 35 cents a round is a nice change!

Not bad for steel-cased ammo, but I'm looking for brass cases myself.

I find myself in the awkward position of having too much brass cased 223 The steel cased Herters wasn't too appealing to me...

bought a box of monarch steel cased .308 yesterday for $13. i may go back for another box today. since anything with brass is priced at $30+ i figure i should at least try some in my m1a.

havent shot any in mine. i see mixed reviews on various forums. some guys say they would never do it. but this is lacquer coated steel... will probably only run a couple mags worth. if it shoots fine then I'll get a couple boxes to keep in the ammo case.
