I have an original CS Mini-Tanto. And it is a VERY robust blade, it is about a 4 inch blade (Maybe) at I actually think it is thicker than 3/16 inch. It came the the American Tanto point, but years ago I reground it to a more conventional edge/point grind. It was valued at $300.00 about 3 years ago, but I probably ruined that by the regrind. No biggie, I don't plan on selling it.

Mine has the brass bottom guard only on it. The guard is only big enough to keep you finger off the blade.

I have MANY Cold Steel knives...I started on them long before Busse.  I thought one of their better models was the Bush Ranger, which they discontinued. A couple of years ago I sat next to Lynn Thompson at a table in the refreshment area at Blade. I asked him about the new steels they are using, and he told me they were NOT as good as the old Carbon V. Of course, Cold Steel was having their knives made by Camillus before they went under.

I've got a Bush Ranger and LOVE IT. I've always thought it would make for a great fighter, as light and fast as it is.

i have an old VHS tape called something like "SEAL Knife Fighting", and one of the former SEALS commented that he thought the Bush Ranger was a really nice knife. I think I have four of them in my rolling chest.  And with that....I'm going to bed. Take care, and have a good shift! Good night.

Well, with the demise of gun control legislation there are some new and returning shows making it back on the air. Sons of Guns has returned and 2 new shows popped up - Guntucky and Wild West Alaska. Now I know some of you don't care for Sons of Guns but the important thing is that the networks no longer consider gun shows anathema. Maybe things are finally starting to turn around.
