But, no one can force him. So, don't try to. Just hang the carrot, and by that I mean let him know what we offer.

Ultimately, possibly, it will come down to CAN he get to do what he wants, and how the individuals are actually treated, housing as individuals etc.
Don't know about now, cause it has been 19 years since I have gotten out, but as far as how the folks were treated, the living conditions etc the services were ranked as...
1. Air Force
2. Navy
3. Army
4. Marines.
Now, bear in mind that this (or at least a large part of it) only applies to the lower, entry level, ranks.
