I received my scrapper today and i must say this is one helluva piece of steel!!!Awesome knife. Thanks Dan&Patti. I have a question about the sheath. When I pulled the knife out of the sheath there was a clear plastic piece that came out with the blade. Is this suppose to be the liner for the sheath .I hope not because if it is mine is screwed up.

Congrats on the Scrapper, the thickness of that little Tank is great. That clear plastic piece is the liner.....you could glue it in and save the trouble of sending it out and being without a sheath.

Like GF said it's the liner, either glue it in or wrap a twist or two of duct tape around it to jam it in. (And that gives you some emergency handy tape!). The next thing will be finding interesting useful stuff for the front pouch...

Congratulations jsj72! I feel the same way about my Scrapper 6. It is a great knife.
By the way, the liner in my sheath slides out too. No big deal, either of the remedies already mentioned should fix it.

Enjoy your dog and post pics when you can.

Leatherface, I agree with you! As a 'total package' it's hard to fault the little Scrapper!

I think they should make a 'lil Scrapper to put in the front pouch of the Scrapper 6 sheath!! I think that would be awesome! What do you guys think?

Stick a Gerber Legend or EVO 650 in it! Total cutting system then...

While I'm not commenting on the whole Gerber range, I like the Legend and EVO 650 (as replaceable saws and tungston-carbide wire-cutters strike me as usefull additions to a multi-tool...). I have various other multi-tools but the Gerbers are the ones that get carried.

Paul - I agree with your idea of a multi-tool in the pouch. Although I like my Gerber tools, the basic Leatherman would leave adequate room for a magnesium firestarter, MP-1 tablets, a few Band-Aids, and a quart plastic bag. Basic survival kit! Tom
